Women’s Trail Day Sunday 20th February
After a great couple of sessions on Blacka and at Lady Cannings, our women’s trail day in collaboration with Cotic Women of Steel returns. This time we will be working on the Eastern Moors Loop bridleway, improving the drainage and repairing the surface on the main track.
All are welcome – whether you have experience or not, it’ll be great to have you involved.

As it’s an SSSI, the work and techniques will be a bit different to previous dig days, so we will be talking about what we’re doing and why, and why it’s different to the work we’ve done on Blacka Moor or at Lady Canning’s.
What to bring?
Gloves and strong, sturdy shoes are essential – plus waterproof clothes if the weather is not great.
If you can bring a spade / rake / mattock (or even a wheelbarrow!), that would be great, but we can supply tools if you let us know in advance that you will be attending and need to borrow tools.
To let us know you’re coming, or if you have any questions, email trails@ridesheffield.org.uk
Afterwards, if the weather is good enough for them to be out, Jolly’s Coffee & Cake at Curbar Gap are giving us a discount on food and drink as a thank you for the work.
If you can’t make this one and are still keen to get involved, we will have another session in March. More details to come on that soon.
