    The rebellious heart of mountain biking can occasionally tip over into a kind of juvenile grumpiness, “I don’t care, I’m going to do what I like and the rest of the world can go to hell.” Ride Sheffield loves the fact that individualism and freedom are core parts of our great sport, but we also love it when the sport pulls together to achieve a greater good.

  • Radmires – how we can all help make it happen….

    With the help of local riders and businesses, Ride Sheffield have raised all the money required to build a red graded trail in Redmires plantation in the Peak District. Enormous effort has gone into satisfying the various demands placed on us by the Peak District National Park and other user groups. The first attempt at gaining planning permission has, however, been placed on hold. Here’s the story….

    It’s always a mistake to assume that raising money for a project is the difficult bit and that everything thereafter should be a breeze. We reached our target for RADmires some time ago thanks to the generosity of Ride Sheffield supporters and local businesses and yet the diggers and whacker plates still lie idle. (more…)

  • RADmires needs your help!

    peaty lady cThanks to everyone’s efforts, the RADmires fund is doing well! The Winter Social back in December was a tremendous success raising £1800 in one night and since then donations via Paypal and bank transfer have continued at a steady pace. We’ve also received a big boost with a major contribution from Cotic bikes swelling the coffers by over £2000. (more…)

With some categories oversubscribed by four times the amount of places that were available you would be pretty lucky to get into the event.   • Ride with Peaty for RADmires

    peaty lady cAs part of the RADmires fund raising we’re offering two really cool experiences for people to get involved with.

    Firstly, Ride With Peaty at RADmires. We are offering 10 lucky people the chance to ride with Steve and be the first riders outside of the project team to ride the RADmires trail. Each rider will meet Steve, ride around the Stanage and RADmires area, and probably get in a cheeky pint afterwards. They also get a signed Ride Sheffield T Shirt made out to them from the man himself. All this for just £200 per rider, and the warm glow of knowing you have helped make an awesome trail happen.
