Ride Sheffield Winter Social and 5th Birthday
This coming Monday the 30th of November we will be gathering together in the back room of the Lescar for our annual social. This time it will be that little bit more special as we are celibrating five years of Ride Sheffield and thanks to the Adventure Cafe in Hope we will even have a cake to celebrate with!
There are a couple of changes to previous years, firstly it will include the formalities of our AGM that used to happen in the summer (don’t worry we are hoping that this bit should only take about five minutes).
Perhaps more excitingly; as we are celebrating five years of Ride Sheffield. It seems like a good chance to reflect on what we have achieved in the past five years. But we dont want to indulge ourselves too much; More importantly is that we want you to shape what we will do over the next five years.
So what does the next few years hold for Ride Sheffield and the local riding scene in gerneral? How can we make things better for all? We have a few intersting ideas that we would like to discuss with you, but also Ride Sheffield represents the riding community well, so if you have anything you would like us to discuss at the meeting, please get in touch via email or social media and we will add it to the agenda
We have updates on Lady Cannings and other projects and will have several of the land managers that we work with there to answer any of your questions. We will also have an exciting announcement too!
The old favourites will still be there, we will be starting with a bike jumble, so bring along those bits you no longer need.
As ever we will be having the quiz and raffle, with fantastic prizes from the excellent mountain bike community of Sheffield. We will also be auctioning off a Cotic Bfe 275 frame of your choice and a Rab Down Jacket. There will aso be a multi tool donated by Evans Cycles for the first 20 people.
So far we have prizes from….. The Bike Garage, 18 Bikes, J E James, Langsett Cycles, Edinburgh Bicycle Cooperative, On-One, Vertebrate Publishing, Cotic Bikes, Duncan Phillpott Photography and Richard Baybutt Photography, Langsett Cycles, Evans, Giant Sheffield, Shore-Lines, Stanley Tools, Steve Peat, 35 Bikes, HookIt Products, Airdrop Bikes, Monsal Trail, Bike Rehab, Rab, Vertebrate Publishing, Tony Butterworths and Wharncliffe Cycle Tech.
