Trail Sabotage – Hope Cross/The Beast

It has been reported on this thread on the Singletrackworld forum that someone has been sabotaging the bridleways around “The Beast” off Hope Cross.

We’re chasing for further details, but the post mentions
– small walls
– logs and branches
– wires

in the path of the bridleway.

The trail described is this section here, running from Hope Cross down to Ladybower – but please bear in mind that there could be similar “action” elsewhere.

This is clearly a very serious matter, we have been in touch with local Police and the Peak District National Park – we’re hoping for responses which can be shared. Further information is also being requested from the original source on the Singletrack forum.
