News Update

imagesCAE64SSGWe are big fans of A Line Coaching over here at Ride Sheffield and not just because of the expertise that they have leant to our trail design. Coaching is becoming more and more prevalent and for good reason; it’s the best way to buy yourself better, faster, safer and happier. So if you want to give it a try, A Line are running a couple of courses at Thornbridge Hall.

Here’s a bit more info from them…

Mountain Biking 101 – Getting started on this course we introduce new riders to mountain biking and the kind of things every new mountain biker should know! We look at bike set up, basic trail side repairs, clothing, basic navigation, route planning, rights of way and the kind of features you can expect to experience riding in the great outdoors, this aspect of the course is conducted indoors with practical exercisers including how to split a chain. We will also have a coached session in the afternoon to assist riders in fundamental skills, negotiating a purpose built skills area including a pump track, various ride surfaces, various gradient and some fun features to play on, all in a controlled and beginner friendly environment.
