Lady Cannings – Forestry Work

You may well have seen some signs up on site at Lady Cannings about some forthcoming forestry works. So we thought we better fill you in with a little more information .

The felling works are expected to begin at the start of October and the duration will be a little weather dependant. We will post up again when we have precise details about what is going on. But for now here are the important bits that you need to know…..

• Work starts at the beginning of October and will be for 1 month or more depending on the weather
• There will be trail closures, initially as they will be working near the Blue Steel trail, but later works will be elsewhere in the woods
• Closures will be for your safety, please respect them
• We are expecting a little damage to the Blue Steel Trail, but we already have Bike Track booked in to carry out the reinstatement works in the middle of October

We will post up more info when we have it, both on here and across our social media too. We apologies for any inconvenience, but once all the wood is extracted, it does give a green light for the next phases of the trails in the woods which we hope to make public at the winter social.
