Cliffhanger = Bike Heaven

Sheffield continues to stake its claim to be the (un)official outdoors capital of the country and helping with that is the Cliffhanger Festival. Now in its fifth incarnation it has continued to realise that mountain bikers and cyclists make up a big part of the outdoors community and is offering its biggest bike programme so far.

As well as the fantastic skills area that is provided by the City Council and Recycle Bikes there is going to be a lot more racing this year. As ever there will be Rollapaluza, but joining will be cycle speedway, shopper world champs and a couple of other events that might interest you

On the Saturday morning there will be a XCE event. Racing in fours over a 250m course  the fastest two will progress each round until we get down to the grand final

On Saturday afternoon, This Is Sheffield will be running a dual competition. practice for both events will be prior to the competitions and both courses will be open to all. We are planning to run a best all-rounder on the day too!

There is no cost to any of the races and entry for both events is on the day. Full details and timings for the events will be announced some time next week
