Blackamoor Reserve Advisory Group Meeting

Meetings

No, trust me, it’s much more interesting than it sounds…..

Blackamoor is arguably home to some of the best MBing in the Peak and Ride Sheffield was well represented at the latest Reserve Advisory Group meeting with Si from http://www.18bikes.co.uk/, Henry and me in attendance.  These meetings are an opportunity for site managers Sheffield Wildlife Trust to both take soundings from those who visit and to inform them of what is coming up. Hot topic was the recent bridleway maintenance on both Piper House Gate and Lenny Hill.  While the former received a pretty unqualified thumbs up from all user groups, the latter was less well received.  Ride Sheffield representatives were not alone in feeling that the work was too intrusive and had spoiled a very picturesque valley.  The specification for any future work will be the subject of forensic examination before we give it the thumbs up.
