News Update

You may have seen a few things around town about Cycle September that is being organised by Love to Ride? You may be wondering why you should take part? More info is below…. But basically one of the biggest problems when lobbying for better infrastructure and facilities for cyclists is a lack of data that can be used. By taking part, not only do you get a chance to take part in a fun event, you can also generate useful data that makes things better for cyclists in Sheffield. register your workplace and you will also have the bonus of being able to show your employers the number of cyclists, which is useful in sorting better facilities for those that ride, such as storage and shower.  So what are you waiting for?…..

It’s time to ride for South Yorkshire!

More than 900 people and over 100 local companies have already signed up to cycle more often from now until the end of September to show we really are a cycling county – sign up for free at: lovetoride.net/southyorkshire

Register yourself, your friends, your colleagues and your workplace to ensure politicians and employers see why they should fund cycling now and into the future. While you’re at it, you can win bikes, accessories, cinema tickets, lovely local produce and lots more.

If you friends or colleagues haven’t ridden before or don’t have a bike, there’s lots of support (and even hire bikes) available, and together we can help make cycling grow throughout South Yorkshire.

This initiative is supported by the local authorities, The Outdoor City and the NHS, so please register today and show your support.

(Don’t delay! Leeds are taking part too, so let’s make sure we don’t get left behind!)
