Thanks to everyone’s efforts, the RADmires fund is already up to just under £7000! The Winter Social was a tremendous success raising £1800 in one night and since then donations via Paypal and bank transfer have continued at a steady pace. We’ve also received a big boost with a major contribution from Cotic bikes swelling the coffers by over £2000. (more…)

Five years? Five years?!
Yes, Ride Sheffield has been going for five years and last night’s Winter Social was, as much as anything else, a celebration of all the things Sheffield’s mountain bike community has achieved. OpenMTB, the new national voice for mountain bikers that Ride Sheffield was instrumental in setting up, has been campaigning hard for better access to Wales’ rights of way network. Latest news is that numerous bikers converged on the Welsh Parliament on Weds 23 Sept to lobby members of the Welsh Government. (more…)
Simple pleasure mountain biking. Take a couple of wheels, a frame, brakes, add some great landscape and, in the words of the late, lamented George Cole, the world is your lobster Terence. No matter how hard the manufacturers try to complicate matters with different wheel sizes, wireless seat posts, fancy materials and lurid colours, it’s still just a bike, a transport of delight.
