Digging the Devil 2.0
Here are the rescheduled plans for the work on the bottom of the Devils Elbow. We are planning to be out digging quite a bit this year, with this and the work on Wimble Holme Hill and very shortly up to Greno to finish off the work up there. But for now the Devils Elbow…

Motocrosser’s in Greno
Thanks to the hard work by the Wildlife Trust, biketrack.org and all of the volunteers who have being going up every month to work on the track; Greno Woods circuit edges nearer and nearer to completion. Parkwood is Open!
After over five years of hard work by Jon Dallow, the city council, Dan Cook etc; that culminated in a couple of months of hard digging by biketrack.org that was then followed by a couple of months of checking the trail, filling out paperwork, putting up signs, more paperwork, carefully explaining why it’s not open yet, completing risk assessments and jumping through a few more hoops……… Parkwood Springs MTB circuit is now officially open! Houndkirk – Planned Maintainence
Sheffield Councils Rights of Way team are planning further work on Houndkirk later this month. But unlike in previous years we have been involved with the consultation work from the beginning. Greno Woods Trails Update
After the initial track build that started back in March this year to
construct the Steel City Mini DH track; work started on the rest of the trails last week with www.biketrack.org back up there crafting fantastic flowing trails. And from what I saw up there last night its going to be an amazing addition to Sheffield’s trails. (more…) -

Mountain Biking at Parkwood Springs
As one of Sheffield’s worst kept secrets, you have probably already heard that MTB circuit up at Parkwood has pretty much been completed now and pretty awesome it looks too. After lots of hard work for Sheffield City Councils Jon Dallow and Bike Tracks, official opening pegged for the end of September, you don’t have long before you can go and ride it.
While the track looks pretty much competed, the work is still ongoing with tweaks and finishing touches being put in currently. To make sure that the track stays in its very best state for as long as possible, please do not go and ride the track as it needs adequate time to bed in, also sections of the trail have not had their second whakering either. It also means that there is heavy plant on the site most days. (more…) -
Dig Day at Rother Valley
Rother Valley Country Park has strong roots in the Sheffield mountain bike scene. It was one of the venues that Beighton All Terrain Squad (BATS) used to hold their races and was the first place that Steve Peat ever raced. (more…)
