  • Get Involved

    For a long time we have been out of the loop when it comes to being involved in the development and maintainance of the rights of way network as well as the countryside in general. However in the past year or so we have started to get asked our opinion on things more and more. Sometimes that takes the form of asking Ride Sheffield for advice, but sometimes we get asked to canvas the wider mountain biking community. So here are several opportunities for you to use your voice and influence changed made to our rights of way.

  • Blacka Moor – Planned Maintainence

    Some have you might have already seen these signs going up on Blacka in the past few days. So it seemed best to give a bit more detail on what is planned.

    Blacka is a favourite spot for many Sheffield mountain Bikers and quite rightly so, it offers some fantastic riding right on the doorstep and some may say a couple of the best trails in the Peak. So it was with a little concern that we heard about the planned work. (more…)

  • Houndkirk – Planned Maintainence

    Sheffield Councils Rights of Way team are planning further work on Houndkirk later this month. But unlike in previous years we have been involved with the consultation work from the beginning. While the work may not please all, the work that will be done is far more sensitive than before and will not involve any blanket surfacing work. (more…)

  • Greno Woods Trails Update

    After the initial track build that started back in March this year to construct the Steel City Mini DH track; work started on the rest of the trails last week with www.biketrack.org back up there crafting fantastic flowing trails. And from what I saw up there last night its going to be an amazing addition to Sheffield’s trails. (more…)
