  • Rad Tax – where are we up to?

    When we announced Rad Tax, the whole idea was for Sheffield riders to pay into a pot that would give Ride Sheffield something of a pot to dip into , in contrast to our larger crowdfunded trail projects such as Lady Canning’s.

  • The Sheepskulls Saga

    The story of Sheep Skulls is an excellent example of cooperation between mountain bikers and land managers. Recently, some riders have risked a riding ban by ignoring the agreement reached between Ride Sheffield and the Eastern Moors Partnership. Here is a potted history….

  • Ride Sheffield Winter Social 2018

    A new venue and a new format, always a risky business, but the inevitable pre-meeting fears turned out to be completely unfounded. As usual, the good mountain biking folk of Sheffield and beyond turned out in force and the Workstation was packed for this year’s Ride Sheffield Winter Social and AGM. (more…)

  • Winter Social – 26th November 2018

    The Winter Social has long been a part of the fabric of Ride Sheffield, it’s a great chance for us to tell you what we have been up-to and what we have planned for the coming year and more importantly, getting your thoughts and feedback on the direction we should be going in. But is also a good opportunity to catch up with friends, have a couple of beers and chat bikes, not to mention win great prizes in the quiz and raffle too.

    This year will be our 9th winter social (maybe we need a big party for our 10th birthday next year) and we have been trying to keep things fresh and interesting for you, to make it as enjoyable as possible. So what can you expect this year….? (more…)

  • November Trail Day – Blacka

    Blacka has always been a bit of a November favourite for us, it’s always good to get the trails ready for the winter so they give us some more sustainable riding in the winter and come out looking and riding sweetly in the spring.

    Our volunteers have been out on a few midweek sessions recently (give us an email if you fancy being part of the midweek crew), but there’s still lots to do up there.
